33rd and Dine Fort Lauderdale

Finding 33rd and Dine French Cafe was a happy accident. Carole and I decided to try something different Saturday and the place that we ventured out to didn't look as good in person as it did on the website. We decided to walk around and hit the wine bar and reassess the situation. We stopped in at 33rd Street wine bar and hoped that they would provide us with some insight of our location. We were sorely mistaken. The wait staff were rude and really wanted as little to do with their customers as possible. The owner was a little better but not much, we were about to leave and try our luck somewhere else and we just happened to do a quick Yelp search and found that 33rd and Dine, accross the street, had pretty good reviews so we stuck around for dinner.

The interior looked a little old and dated so we sat outside to enjoy our meal. The French Country Pate was some of the best that I have ever had, and I make a great Pate. For our entrees I had the Moules Frites (Mussels and French Fries) Carole had the Melted Brie Sandwich. The Mussels were perfectly cooked and I would have to say they are the second best mussels in Ft. Lauderdale. (Sorry there is a place on Las Olas with the best). The Brie Sandwich was awesome with a fresh slice of tomato. Only one thing to say and that is French comfort food. For dessert we split the Crepe Suzette, and had a cup of coffee. With tip I think we were under $70.00. A great deal for Ft. Lauderdale Beach on a Saturday night.
I wish that I had taken more pictures, but we enjoyed the meal so much we just ate and thought about the photos later.
